Rewriting Success is a Mindset

As entrepreneurs, we know that making the choice to never quit is a key trait that leads to achieving our goals. It is during challenging times that we learn from our trials and add these lessons to our arsenal, always moving forward towards success. Words like “can’t” and “quit” should not be part of our vocabulary. When we hear someone say they can’t do something, we know that their mind is already made up, even without trying to accomplish the task or thinking of ways to overcome it. However, we must also recognize that this is their choice. While we may not be able to accomplish everything on our own, the choice to quit without trying is a choice to fail.
We often think that successful people are simply smarter than us. But in reality, they have a different mindset. They know the importance of building a team of people around them, just as we rely on our families in our personal lives. By involving others and working together, we can overcome obstacles and achieve our goals.
When we challenge ourselves to say “I can” or “I will” instead of “I can’t” or “I won’t,” we break through the barriers holding us back from success. Choosing to succeed, to try, and to not quit means choosing not to fail in our quest to reach our goals. Remember, the path may change, but the goal stays the same. When you Google a destination you are given several options you can choose to get there, but in the end, they all get you to the destination. Your goal. Remember as we travel for vacation or work we often encounter obstacles, road work, wrecks and our GPS will offer new routes to get us back on track. Sometimes we learn things and see things differently by these experiences that we never would have had we stayed on the first route. That’s learning, growing and never quitting because we made the choice to continue on our journey.
“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” Thomas A. Edison and “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn” Benjamin Franklin are both fitting reminders that success comes from involving ourselves in the learning process.
So, when it comes to the things that are important in our business and personal lives, let’s make the right choice. It is our choices that determine our success and whether or not we fail. And always remember, you can’t fail if you never make the choice to quit.
